Emergency meeting called, but many still don’t know what’s going on

British Abroad has learned that serious allegations of fraud have been uncovered at a well-known condo in Bangkok’s Sathon area, popular with expats.
An internal audit team discovered signs of possible financial misconduct in the juristic office on Tuesday, 28 May 2025. This led to an emergency meeting for co-owners the following evening at 7pm.
So far, no official statement has confirmed exactly what happened – but early rumours point to issues with financial records. Some residents are even speculating about stolen deliveries or misuse of earthquake insurance money.
Despite the urgency, many owners and long-term tenants didn’t know anything about the meeting. Just two hours after it ended, a crowd gathered at reception, confused and looking for answers.
“I work nights and was sleeping when they sent out the alerts, so I didn’t know anything until I saw everyone downstairs and plainclothes police in the juristic office,” said one British resident.
The building has a large international community, including many from the UK. But it’s also been criticised for poor upkeep, poor staff management, and weak communication from those responsible for informing residents.
There’s been no official update since the emergency meeting. Residents are still waiting to hear what exactly happened, whether money has gone missing, and if any legal action will be taken.
We’ll keep digging and bring you updates as soon as we have more.
